Ms Franz has over 20 years of clinical research and ophthalmic experience, providing senior technical and professional support in clinical research, product development and regulatory affairs. Ms Franz was a Research Optometrist at the Cornea and Contact Lens Research Unit (CCLRU) and then Manager of the Research Clinic and Manager of Clinical Studies at CCLRU with responsibility for all aspects of operating and organizing the contact lens clinic, and for lens-related research and clinical evaluation of all contact lens products.


At Ocular Sciences Inc., she conducted all clinical evaluation of cosmetic and contact lenses, resulting in the selection and launch of the Biomedics/Cover Girl Colors lenses. As Director of Clinical Affairs at Ocular Sciences, she successfully designing and directing a state-of-the-art clinical and research facility, designing and conducting all clinical evaluations on development products which resulted in six new products/extensions.

From 2005 to 2008, Ms Franz was Vice-President, Clinical Affairs at ReVision Optics Inc.Ms Franz has a Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) and a Masters of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
