Vice-President of Research and Development and Project Leader for the Dynamic Vision project  for Adventus, Dr Erickson received his BA in Mathematics and Chemistry from Bethel University, Minnesota, USA, completed MSc (physiological optics) and Doctor of Optometry degrees at Pacific University, Oregon, USA, an MSc degree (biometry and health information systems) at the University of Minnesota, USA and a PhD in Vision Science at the University of Waterloo, Canada.

 




Dr Erickson was Vice President of Global Research & Development for Bausch & Lomb from 2002 to 2009. Prior to this he was Professor at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia and Deputy Director of the Cooperative Research Centre for Eye Research and Technology (CRCERT) at UNSW from 1998 to 2002. From 1984 to 1998 he was employed in various Research and Development management positions at Bausch & Lomb.

Dr Erickson is an inventor on five granted patents and has authored 50 peer-reviewed publications and four book chapters. He has contributed in editorial and referee capacities on a range of international optometric and ophthalmological journals and served on several professional optometric and health bodies.
