Arthur Ho

Professor Ho is Chief Scientist and Technology Officer at the Vision Cooperative Research Centre (Vision CRC) and Chief Technologist, Brien Holden Vision Institute. He is a scientist with extensive experience in vision care and application of technology to ophthalmic research and development, with skills in the operational management of strategic and fundamental technology, and products-based vision research and development programs.
Professor Ho received his Master of Optometry degree and PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, commencing his career as a research assistant at the UNSW Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering (1980-1981), then becoming Clinic Supervisor at the School of Optometry (1981-1982). He was appointed Professorial Visiting Fellow to UNSW in 2007.
Professor Ho has published over 80 refereed papers and book chapters, is inventor on more than 20 issued patents and a member of numerous professional societies. He has a highly successful grant record, including as principal researcher of the Australian Consortium on a collaborative grant awarded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the USA.
